Hi Tom,
I just wanted to thank you again for the excellent class you ran. It was very informative. The information you gave us was very valuable. I think that anyone who is considering buying a handgun should attend this class, especially if they are considering a CCW permit. The tips you gave me on grip and aiming was eye opening but easy. I have a lot more confidence in handling my firearms.
Thanks again,
Mike Ramirez

Tom:
I would just like to thank you for the best three hours of handgun training I could have asked for. Since I never owned or used a hand gun, this course was ideal for me in several ways..Class instruction was the most vital part in understanding the proper handling of any handgun as was your instruction on the proper procedures on clearing the handgun.
The time I used at the range was a real eye opener...I realized it would require lots of trips to the range to get comfortable but all in all I was quite happy with the results...
Your repeated emphasis on safety throughout the three hours was well appreciated..Now its onto the slippery slope of finding a little larger 9mm that fits my hands...Thanks again and I look forward to taking more classes in the future.

Tom: I enjoyed your basic handgun class very much. I was apprehensive at first since I had never handled a gun. Three hours went by very quickly because the class was so enjoyable and very entertaining. I realize now that it was necessary to spend a lot of time on proper gun safety. I thought it was important for the several people in our class with hearing difficulties to have a woman that was able to use sign language to get your information across. I had a bad leg and wasn't able to shoot very much in the range since my balance was off but I left knowing that I could handle the gun. My husband and I are going to purchase a smaller gun that will fit my hand better and I look forward to taking more of your classes in the future,
Thank you again,
Linda Renee Thomas

I am a first time gun owner with no Formal training. I took Rev Tom's basic handgun training yesterday. It was truly everything I expected. I now feel more comfortable with my handguns , if I ever have to use them. I would recommend this class highly.
Thank you Rev Tom.
Best Robert Levin.

Rev. Tom Dingwall is an excellent teacher in the classroom and trainer on the range. The Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is the course to consider if you have or are looking to have a firearm available to you as a self-defense tool. There is a wealth of information provided in the textbook, handouts, presentation, and videos. This is not a one-sided droning lecture, but a free-flowing discussion guided by the content to be covered. Tom and the students engage in Q & A throughout. Personal experiences as well as instructional scenarios are shared. You shouldn’t be left with many questions but I’m sure you could email Tom. The shooting range portion was a great experience as well. Typically, I approach the range as an opportunity to hone marksmanship. Here in a safe and monitored scenario, students are given the opportunity to practice target focused or point shooting. Tom also helped me adjust my shots with a tweak to my trigger finger position. That change alone was worth the cost of admission. Additionally, the students were given the opportunity to shoot firearms Tom brought. The facilities are good. The classroom and range are used on a regular basis. I and another student have signed up as members here. Here is some background on me to gauge the review above. At the time of writing this I am 1 month new to owning a firearm and 2 weeks new to having a license to carry. I have been shooting 100-150 rounds per session at local area indoor ranges once or twice a week though I have settled into Ready, Aim, Fire of Bristol, PA. This is only the second firearms course I have taken. I specifically took this to understand the nuances and responsibility of concealed carry before engaging in it. I am reading through all the materials that have been provided. I have purchased an AlienGear Holsters ShapeShift system for my firearm to figure out from what position I will carry. I will sign up with USCCA when I start to carry.

I just successfully completed the 6 hour USCCA Concealed Carry Training Course with Pastor Tom’s Sure Fire Training. It was an in-depth and information filled course covering the mindset, techniques and most importantly the legal aspects of gun handling and carrying. The range work is under his eagle-eye attention. Pastor Tom’s experience, guidance and knowledge are gifts to any student of his course!

I absolutely LOVED the experience which Tom Dingwall provided me in the Concealed Carry Class! It proved to be incredibly informative, and Tom made it fun with his own brand of humor and personality! I left that class with a feeling of satisfaction, and anticipation to practice all that I have learned! What a journey this will be! Thanks to USCCA, and thanks to Tom DIngwall !!

Tom was an excellent teacher! My only regrets from the class is that there was too much time spent on the basic handgun info that was all covered in the Basic Handgun class. Perhaps making the Basic handgun class a pre-req before taking the ccw/home defense class would be good. Not enough time to address things like 'dress styles & ccw; legal ccw; ccw scenarios-what to do; we did spend a little time with scenarios though. I think it was more the materials to cover and not Tom's style that was disappointing. I believe there were some in the class that did not have the Basic's course.

Great training class that teaches you how to be a Responsible gun owner. It was great to have Both book training and Range training part of the same course. Instructor had good inter-action with all during class and on the range.
